Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Why my application is undergoing admnistrative processing?
Here are what I have got from the site with my visa checking:
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Why my visa is undergoing admnistrative processing while I was being told that I am passed when I finished the interview.
OMG!!! I applied for the job of CEO at Microsoft and they accepted the application.
Divorced my wife, sold my house, gave away all my shit, cut off all friends and family and gloated about my new life because I won't need any of that with my new job.
WTF.....my application is under what, you say?
So on your other topic, when you said you had "passed", what did you mean? Did you mean you had passed the interview for the USA visa and did you mean you had the visa in your passport?
Were you given any instructions at the interview? If yes, did you actually listen and understand them?
Strawberry66:
In the interviewe I have been told I got passed. Then I consulted other people in the embassy, they told it means I can get visa.
Hahahaha Vicky have you ever heard of the phrase "'Dont count your chickens before they have hatched" ??
Sinobear:
In China, that might mean "Don't plan on having a happy ending at the KTV."
Vicky, do you really think any of us have any idea why your visa is undergoing administrative processing? What were the exact words that the visa officer used when he said that you would get your visa? Did he/she say you passed or that you were being passed? The fact they said "if your visa is approved" suggests you have not passed yet.
I think I see what happened.
You submitted your application, and assumed that you had "passed" because they "accepted" the fee.
Goodness me, yesterday you were about to set yourself up as a US visa agent because of your extensive knowledge on the subject.
So yeah, erm, they take the fee then process your application. If they refuse your application, they keep the fee.
dongbeiren:
True, but at the interview the consular officer typically gives a direct answer as to whether or not a visa will be granted or in rare cases whether additional info. is needed. So it seems quite strange she would get an affirmative answer and then be told the outcome is uncertain.
ScotsAlan:
Yeah. I was just thinking that in the Chinese culture it is considered very strange to pay money and not get something back. My wife is doing her UK tourist visa stuff and she is making sure she has every angle covered before paying the fee. No way does she want to lose money by making a mistake on the application .
dongbeiren:
Yea, it's very frustrating how they charge you for getting rejected - especially when the interview is so short. Though the whole story from Vicky just doesn't really make sense. I mean surely the officer made it clear to Vicky that she would get a visa or that she wouldn't get a visa unless Vicky completely misunderstood. Given that her English is pretty fluent that just doesn't seem likely to have such a massive misunderstanding.
ScotsAlan:
I suspect a visa agent done the online application for her. I just had a look on the US visa site and it's all done online now, same as the UK.
ScotsAlan:
I doubt if she had the interview. She probably mistook a visa agent chat as the interview. After all, echina has only had a few US visa questions recently.
Strawberry66:
Stop being stupid. You have no fucking idea. I went to interview and the US consulate told I passed. I searched on line today and everyone who got visa were being told the same. I worried too much. It only means they are processing.
dongbeiren:
Vicky, that might be true so next time why not just search online first instead of posting a self-centered question here?
Strawberry66:
I was expecting somone who knows to help my question. Surpringly all of you have flied to many countres even have no idea of answering this simple question.
ScotsAlan:
Ah. I see Vicky. You were hoping someone who works in the US visa office reads these pages, and that they would somehow be able to identify you from your online handle, then discuss all the private details of your visa application on here for all to see. Stupid me. You should have titled your thread " Private message to my case officer at the US visa office ?" That would work. Or you could just ask the people directly. You should add a few "fucking stupids" in too, just to goad them along :)
yeah what do you mean by "passed"? is it a student visa that you did a test for?
you either have a right to a visa or you don't. there usually isn't any "test". just a lengthy administrative process.
you sound like a typical "clever social scammer" who believes she's tricked or bribed her way into the company of good people she can exploit.
"I passed."
"They fell for it."
"I'm through the hurdle."
"The vault door is open."
Which kind of visa, anyway? Holiday? Marriage? Au pair? Business? Study?
I guess yesterday you said, "I passed away in America".
Alas! They didn't let you celebrate for a day.
Don't worry about the face you ll loose to your friends whom you have bullied since yesterday. Things will take time and you will learn more about legalities of travelling abroad.
Hotwater:
If it only means they are dealing with it why did you post this question Vicky? Stop being abusive to other posters or I promise I will report you.
thefidu881:
Wohaaao... I bet you are rejected since your frustration is obvious. I wish you go there and shake those 'bells' for long hours. Face is involved since most of the Chinese who go abroad look down on their fellow Chinese. And the way you reacted proves Iaccidently touched your nerves... Do visit the restuarant Hulk advised yesterday if you get through the process. Spoiled egg...
Strawberry66:
Just shut your mouth up. Loser. Everyone is undergoing administraive processing. Loser! The period of they taking your finger print, check your stuffs, issuing visa are all the process of administrative processing. If you are stupid enough to have no idea, just fucking shut your mouth up. Lol. You are obviously a loser. See all you typied. You keep calling everyone wants face. Its so stupid to say you want face because you are Chinese. Because other Chinese care then you care face too. We have a saying :Give a prove before you judge. You talk like a kid. And Spiderboenz is annoyed by luke posting on wanting to have sex with me. Spider is an American. Ha. You losers are looked down by other westerners.
thefidu881:
LMFAO...facepalm...Again face factor to hide your stubborn and weird attitude. I don't wish the money you saved by not taking a shower for months get wasted. From now on I am taking you as a 'special person'.
thefidu881:
Say it in a go so I can answer you once...The reason I mentioned face is what you proved by not taking criticism at positive angle. I feel sorry for your parents...
thefidu881:
Looser? That's what I meant to say at first. Need a proof? Your application for a tour visa accepted at counslate and you start calling others loosers, specially someone who has already travelled 7 and is still in 20s. I am horrified to think of what have you been thinking of those street vendors outside your apartment?
oldscholar:
Here comes the five year old again. Firstly she comes on here bragging about being accepted to the US, and what is bragging but just another form of face. Today she is here with another story that is somewhat different. Surprise surprise some nasty person said something the little child did not like and so she resorts to swearing and name calling again. It sounds as though she has misunderstood what she was told, probably that she passed the interview but the background checks still have to be done. How much money does she have, probably not a lot in terms of US dollars, a job she has not been in for very long and by the little she has said it does not sound that stable, and what about her itinerary while she is in America, we have heard nothing about that. It sounds as though her application is far from approved. Just in case you are wondering Strawberry you have already been reported for your pretty disgusting language on a public forum. It really is about time you grew up and accepted most people here are not as dumb as you seem to think and yes you will get called out on your bs.
Yeesh, girl.
You need to do your research and LISTEN.
You most likely passed the interview and paid the fee. From there your papers, bank account, support while in the U.S. and ANSWERS you gave in the interview, will be evaluated.
You could still be rejected if you provided any false information or your information does not meet the requirements of the type of visa you are applying for.
In short, you do not have your visa yet or have been approved to visit the U.S.
At least, not yet.
Strawberry66:
So true. The consular officer told me that I passed at the end of the interview and only took my passport. I guess I have a very high chance to get visa issued. I will go check it on.line again to see if it is issued! Thanks
Sino was right (bowel movements) and iWolf was wrong (CDC).
Who took the bets?
Where's the 'Brick-Top': '...... you gotta starve the pigs for couple of days........
icnif77:
Disclosure: 'Last two Shining's words are under the (pending) patent protection.' O2, o2
Who would have thought that going abroad took more than just an interview, am I right?
iWolf:
Perhaps it is just me but when I have applied for visas in several countries I have never been approved on the spot. They accept the paperwork and pass it on to someone who will do the relevant checks. Madness, I know.
OMG!!! I applied for the job of CEO at Microsoft and they accepted the application.
Divorced my wife, sold my house, gave away all my shit, cut off all friends and family and gloated about my new life because I won't need any of that with my new job.
WTF.....my application is under what, you say?
Dear strawberry: i work in the visa processing department of the US consulate in shanghai and due to your rather poor attitude it has been decided that you will not be granted a visa and any further attempt at communication with said consulate will result in military action against you and your house.
coineineagh:
dynastic house or place of residency? will the house itself be regarded as a key enemy military installation, making it a valid target for airstrikes?
fada:
Intel indicates her house is sittin ontop of a WMD factory constructing who knows what, which is itself sittin on top of the largest oil field on earth, next to the best gold mine ever recorded. Democratization shall beging shortly
diverdude1:
I got a laff outta this one. Intelligence analysis suggest deployment of GBU-43/B.
Maximum collateral damage ensured.
Two things....
Firstly, your visa, and in fact, any visa, is only as good as when you're actually in the country it's for, and for as long as you don't piss off the wrong people! When it all comes down to it, there are a LOT more people who have the legal right to revoke your visa at any time... even if you have it in your passport, it can still be rejected. Hell, even the guys and girls at the Immigration section of the airport you fly into can say no!
From the answers you gave in the previous post, I'd suggest that you fall into the 'EXTREMELY HIGH RISK' category of Chinese tourists going to the USA. (and then disappearing as an illegal immigrant) - minimal financial support, only (yes, only) 1 year at your current job - which you can't even effectively talk about what your company does - single, young, female. No home or car or other mortgage/bank repayments requiring you to be here. No other significant reason to return. No real idea of what you're going to do when you get there, let alone how you'll get there, or where you'll stay. Let's face it, the only red flag you haven't sent up is the terrorist bomber type... (although, given your posts on here, including this thread, perhaps that one did get flagged, and you forgot to mention it).
Second point - US visa officials scour eCC all the time just looking for those who start gloating, so then they can bring them down a notch...
'Embassy isn't required, and will not tell the reasons for approval or denial of visa to applicant.'
You can check validity of above statement by asking officer, who'll return your passport one simple Q: 'Why?'
Officer will reply with the above statement. That statement isn't Beijing's USA Embassy speciality. You will get the same answer in any Embassy anywhere around the world.
Most likely officer, who return passports with or no visa is behind bullet proof and noise reduction window. One can talk to the officer only by intercom. If the officer presses the intercom button.
Don't come back to the Board and say that's not true, unless you have tape with officer's voice explaining to you, that you can't get tourist visa to USA, because your butt is too big or similar.
Would you mind, stop posting ridiculous, semi-retarded, lying Q and statements to the Board, please? Posters here know you are lying!
If I accept your statement that US Embassy officer told you: 'You passed.....' is true, he was most likely saying: 'I passed one' to his fellow colleague, as an apology for the bad, smelly air.
In English, it doesn't mean, that you will get visa for USA, but officer farted, in simpler words ''he let the stinky, manure smelling air out of his arse -----> 'bo-wel-move-ments''.
Can we have a break now, please? Is there nothing else to do in Shanghai, but asking Q on this Board?
Admin switched off 'abuse' button on Scot's and Fidu's reply. Why's that? Nobody can report abuse there anymore...LOLOLOL.....I got so many points. Should I resign?
"Passed" is a codeword meaning your application would be put in the trash can as soon as you left the room. "Administrative processing" means the contents of this trash can was then put through a document shredder
don't forget to start a Question if your visa application is denied.
you start a story - it becomes your duty to finish it.
now that you've gloated, we have become interested in any misfortune that may befall you. don't worry about the moral of the story: we'll oblige with that aspect.
ScotsAlan:
Yup. We want to help. Give us specifics and someone will be able to answer. Best company for travel insurance, how much money you have in the bank, why do you need to return to China, do you have relatives in the US, will you abscond, will you go back to China? All these things we can answer. Petulance just gives us amusment :)
It'll most likely be denied. Everything Shining_Brow says is 100% correct.
If it isn't denied, I'd be surprised. I honestly hope it isn't denied so you can run away from everything that makes you unhappy.
I think she won't get it. Look at how she behaves on here. If she behaved like that in the States someone would give her a good beating or at the very least a good tongue lashing. It sounds like she lied on her application and they caught it .
Strawberry66:
My western clients told many weidos came to China.Ha! I am sure they are right!
Apologies in advance if you stare at this the rest of the day...
Adopted Alaskan Malamutes, Brown Sugar and Rice Candy, are either having species confusion or just want to give their little buddy some support.

BHGAL:
you should really consider, very carefully your life journey. the promised land is fraught with danger to your well being, your progress as a human. undoubtedly your potential for reproduction (which is of course yours and my reason for being) will rise, but the chances of retaining a mate are slim, as are the chances of being able to afford a decent lifestyle for you, and how ever many guys you can seduce to produce.
I give you this as a warning for the potential financial issues that you may encounter on your journey.......

I firmly believe the local taxi guy is your best option in life, for a happy and joyful life with a child or 2.
icnif77:
I find it repugnant to advise poster, who posts imaginative Q-s after reading threads and replies of other posters on the Board.
Many posters go 'whole length' to advice and answer OP, and then 'abuse' replies always occur.
Why's that?
'If you reply to the poster, who gave you a 'good' advice with abuse, you will most likely get many counter-replies of other posters'.
That fact is telling me, 'blich' is most likely 'paid per reply'.
I'm reading OP's threads just to see -'sorry!'- stupidity level of the posters advising OP.
Very funny drive to give sensible advices to lying, phony scumbag as OP is.
Strawberry66:
You got the point,it's the main problem here:Many posters go 'whole length' to advice and answer her, and then 'abuse' replies always occurre.
They often blamed me to call them bad names back without apologize for what they said. I would say they only have themselves to blame. Stop pretending to be angel. If that's the way they give their fucking advices,I would say fuck off.
icnif77:
Many posters asked you to 'fok-off' million times. But you still feel to reply. How's that? Don't you understand me?
Your post is a big, fat, repugnant LIE!
You've never been to any Embassy and you've never applied for visa!
I told you many years ago, you should just read posts here.
You're no match to anybody on this thread.
woow....You can popy&caste? I'm the master of p&c. You want to be friends? We could popy&caste whole Milky Way.
icnif77:
We have million hits here. Everybody's watching 'species confusion'
