Q: Why only white people there?
I went to Rotterdam exhibition, all the European entrepreneurs are white, all the people they hired to work for them are white.
But in the street I see people with diffrent skin colors.
I remember a French guy used to tell me European like to talk to white people, so his company only hires white sales(French company in Shanghai).
Is that true?
I don't know about Rotterdam but as far as your Shanghai example goes sadly, if you want to portray reliability, honesty, integrity etc in China a European face is probably better for that than a Chinese face.
Not saying white people are more honest than Chinese or anything, but if I'm looking at working for a Chinese run school or a western run school I'd go for the western run school nine times out of ten.
If I was looking to spend a lot of money buying stuff in China I'd trust a European salesperson over a Chinese salesperson.

I've heard this is true in France. I heard a white french employer saying she would not employ non-whites for a variety of reason. She didn't seem like a person who would be prone to racism. she was well educated, liberal in most aspects, yet she had these racist views. it's a real problem. the resentment and apathy that this will cause, would destroy any hope of integration. i hate the idea of mass immigration into european countries, but if they are there then surely our values means they should get a fair shake.
