Q: why is that orange fruits so important in Chinese "Spring festival" ?
I see in all offices ,streets ,markets and homes are filled with orange fruits ,plants particularly during the spring festival ,is there any specific reason for this in Chinese tradition

There are not oranges, in reality they are tangerines.
In Chinese, one character for the word tangerine means "Auspicious", so in giving a small tree with tangerines on, you are wishing the person receiving them good things in the coming year.
That is the short version, and for free, no points earned !
