Q: Why some Chinese are so foolish?

I was in lanaguage event, then suddently a Chinese girl said to me to learn English from another Chinese who returned from the US for university education.

I felt so offended suddently, why would she think his English speaking will be better than me? The funny thing is I am usually the best English speaker in the event for Chinese and many French can't really catch me when I spoke fast.

Most foreigners can understand my speaking better are the Dutch, German and the native English speakers.

I have obtained a better accent by the influence of many native English speakers, especially the Americans.

Yup, insightful,  those grandparents ALL participated in the infamous cultural revolution, the worst genocide, employing the worst, lowest kind of verbal and physical tortures known to mankind . One way or the other, these psychopaths are mass murderers.

Credit must also be given to CCP's rote memory focused,  brainwashing ,  warmongering slaves producing 'education system',  one of the freaking hallmarks of communist countries (just look at North Korea's 'education system' ).

who told you your english is good?

No offence but if you speak like you write, no wonder people don't want to learn from you.

Then again they also should know the difference between chinglish and english.

Btw. it is no secret that the french do not speak english very well in general (of course there are exceptions). English is not a major in france, but in Germany and Netherlands etc. it is. Albeit most German's english is not that good, because they actually never get to use it alot so they mostly only have classroom experience, which might be long time ago depending on their age.

A returned overseas chinese, if studied well and lived in USA long enough, should naturally speak better english than you.

My friend left for 1 year to USA as an exchange student, when he came back is grammar, sentence structure and also his accent (lol kansas) change tremendously (to the good).

So while it does not mean that others cannot teach english well, the chinese have limited thinking and choose what they think is best for them.

You can add me on wechat and gave a vedio call to me, then you'll know my English speaking level. Lol

But there's one strange thing, I couldn't speak English in a good accent if I send voice messages. It happened to me for many many times, I don't know why.

I used to send voice message to Spiderboenz(a member on ecc), my accent didn't sound as good as I speak in daily life normally. But seem my accent become better again in vedio call.

That's still the mysterious thing I have never firgured it out.

But surpringly my speaking is much much better than my writting skills in daily life, so I am an exception. Especially my accent obtained from native English speakers.

I never got the chance to study in the English speaking country and just finished in a crappy college. But I have the environment to associate with native English speakers.

I have a lot of American accent cause I met Americans a lot and watched more American movies and listened to a lot of yahoo news. I could adjust my accent to be a bit British like when meeting British people. Which I usually can't do a British accent if there's no British speaking to me. I found it amazing really.

I sometimes feel I have the language gift, I am not sure.

Then my English accent would suddently become not as good as when I was speaking with an American if I spoke to a French who has a strong French accent, then I would find myself get some French accent when spoke English. Shockingly.

I am just the type of non native speakers who can naturally obtain an accent fast.

So I sometimes would remind myself to pay attention to my speaking when spoke to a French or German has strong French or German accent for not get influenced.

if you can not understand Chinese people's motivations, how do you expect to be a good manager, or good at any kind of relationship that involves another person?

a successful relationship requires understanding others and not being so obsessed about yourself.

here is a hint.

try not to be so self absorbed and talk about your looks or personalty all the time - it is a massive turn-off for anyone who meets you.

Most Chinese studying abroad strictly stick to other Chinese students and still can't speak the local language when returning after 4 or 5 years.

True, but then Foreigners don't pretend to be Mandarin experts when they go back to their countries. There is nothing like the Chinese boss of an English training center who spent 5 years studying in the US (selling point) and yet completely illiterate in English. Imagine the outrage within the Chinese community if White people illiterate in Mandarin opened Mandarin training centers in the West. They get triggered for far less than that, like White people selling Chinese food.

That's exactly what I am talking about.

They are just pretending themselves to be an expert. Full of bullshit. Some Chinese who never went to study aboard spoke better English than them.

I really think I would do much much better than them if I ever given a chance to attend a 4 years university in an English speaking country. I used to hire a sales man who attended 1.5 years studying in the U.K., my Chinese boss spoke high of his English. That's just foolish to my understanding. This guy has this very weird strong Chinese accent while trying to speak British English. It's really a headache for me to understand at the beginning. I used to tell him that his accent is not clear too, he complained that his friend in the U.K. said his pronounciation is clear. Lol

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
