Q: Why some people give stupid answers?
Some answers are really funny and entertaining. But others are pathetic. Especially if somebody is really asking for some serious information and answers. Do you people really need to do that?
Well you know what they say; you ask a stupid person, you get a stupid answer. Me, i'm mostly stupid and I get bored with so many of the questions I come across that I just talk shit. I mean, 'How bad is instant coffee for your health?' Is this site mostly used by people with a minute to spare between mowing their lawn and working on their latest model aeroplane? These questions are borrring, they're borrring, i'm borrred!
So there you are, that's my reason.

I guess a lot of people do use this website if they have few minutes to spare...Of course, there are stupid question and they deserve stupid/silly answers. But some questions are not that stupid, so why answering stupidly? And if a question is boring and stupid, you do not need to reply, I guess!
Questions come in a few different varieties:
1). Serious
2). Casual
3). Silly
4). Stupid
The first deserves a thoughtful, informed, complete and courteous answer. The second can be answered randomly, even while drinking a beer, perhaps, like a chat between buddies. The third is the chance for a quip, a chuckle, or to enjoy a moment of mirth. After you have been here a while, you begin to recognize the difference.
Oh, and the fourth kind? You just wanna say, "Google it, ya loser."
this is a forum. people ask questions whatever question comes in their mind. lets respect their thinking, condition, situation and circumstance. people are not here to get more point for asking more questions. they want to have a sincere and decent reply. they just want to find out what other experienced it or maybe some one know the answer for it or can answer it.
if you ask a question you are stupid for a minute, if you do not ask it you will remain stupid forever.
So to all homo sapiens please respect and do not make fun of anyone. people do get bored with china no matter how much the conditions are favorable, good and exciting.
Really stupid questions deserve really stupid answers. I'll be serious sometimes unless I can think of something else to say. We had a top user who posted 3 to 5 stupid questions every day and then answered all the posts with dumb and dumber answers and then made stupid and annoying comments. Why, for points? Who knows, he could have mine for all they mean. He has multi-IDs and who knows who is who here.
For the most part, I try to answer questions seriously. But as others have said, some of the questions just leave you shaking your head. Normally, if a question is stupid or mean, I just stay away from it unless I see a reply I just can't resist.
But if the question is serious and I know the answer or at least know most of the answer, I will reply. It is the repetitive questions that get me. There are only so many visa related questions or fluff questions I can stand. I mean there is a search function here, why can't people use it before asking a question that has been asked 100 times before?
But the questions that get me the most are the inane questions that have nothing to do with China and everything to do with being a point mongering whore. You know, questions like: If Jesus & Mohammed were in a Starbucks having coffee together, what color pants do you think they would wear?
Of all the people on this board, I admire HappyExpat the most. The guy seems to have the patience of a saint when it comes to the silly/repetitive stuff that goes on around here.

Black. Everyone looks good in black, and, it's very slimming.
If you can define what a stupid answer is I will define what a stupid question is.
Perhaps, my question wasn't that clear and probably have used a wrong adjective...Should have switched 'stupid' with silly or incoherent or not pertinent!
Anyway, most people answered with thoughtful ideas.
This is a forum and everybody is free to write and ask whatever they want. And everybody is free to answer any question in the way they want. As @GIADROSICH pointed out, there are several categories of questions. Me myself have asked several stupid and light questions and do not mind being insulted in those circumstances. But when I would like to receive some serious suggestions and answers and people answer stupidly then I feel terribly annoyed and wonder why. For example, I've asked about being a teacher in high school and been answered “It absolutely sucks ass.”. I mean, is that necessary?
I also get it that some people are bored and like to be funny or provocative.
At the end of the day, I guess I just wanted to share my feeling in that moment.
