Q: Why was Xi JinPing "Missing" for 2 weeks?
Some people suggest he was simply sick, others say on holiday, and some say he resigned after in-fighting between the two key factions was getting out of hand. Anyone have a clue?

The rumor is that he resigned in protest over political in-fighting and supposedly after 9 days the two factions agreed to a truce and persuaded him to reconsider. My source is a reliable CPC insider so I believe it.

Common Political sense says..he is going to be Big Man in China...he dont want to be in any controversy because at that time two important things were going..1. Island problem with Japan 2. U.S. Top officials were here..so if he meet those officials then he have to say something on Japan Island problem..which may go either side..either his way or against his way...so he just took a safe option... His current status is that he avoided all those situation and now most eligible guy for top post in China..

That's a shame. He could have learned a thing or two from Leon Panetta about being no committal.
I heard the same as REC-AEC that he was frustrated over all the on-fighting and walked. Considering the recent NY Times article which had to have been leaked by "the other faction", I now believe it even more.
