I don't think that China will vote in favor of the recognition of a Palestinian state. If the Chinese government were to do it, it would agree that the Palestinian's motion is legitimate and that they are right to assert their rights to "autonomy" and "independency".

The same kind of "autonomy" and "independency", some Chinese provinces (Xinjiang, Tibet, mainly) would like to have and would be eager to present such a motion too.

That's also why China never supported for instance the declaration of independance of the Kosovo from Serbia, or now in Lybia. Any rebellion in a country which aims to overthrow the government is always criticized by China.

As for the fact that China and Russia veto the same way, I would underline that since the end of 50's, both China and Russia are "enemies" in many ways... China was so scared that the Soviet Union drops an atomic bomb on Beijing that at that time the Chinese government decided to build a underground city in Beijing capable to shelter 500'000 people between civilians, army troops and government officials. If they oppose their veto to a resolution, it's often because Russia wants to show that she is still a superpower able to disagree with the other superpowers, while China often wants to veto in order to protect its own interest (for instance contracts with Khaddafi's regime, Tunisian regime, etc).

LOL, well I agree with the comment above, doesn't really need anything else added to it. China is really fearful of an uprising although I find that hardly plausible. They always veto against anything that resembles an overthrow of a governing body

CHINA WILL VOTE YES BUT USA WILL VETO, THE ONLY COUNTRIES WITH PROBLEMESTIC POLICIES ARE USA AND ISREAL.

IT IS DEABATEABLE ISSUE AND LONG ORGUMENTS BUT THE ABOVE MENTIONED STATMENT IS THE BOTTON LINE.

nevermind:

Hey, I'm all for the state, but let's not forget the Palestinians little issue of wanting Israel wiped off the face of the earth.

China does some business with Israel but has no real contact with the Palestinians. It really has no reason to vote for statehood aside from the fact that the US will vote against it (which is a travesty) so in other words, China will vote for it to one up the US.
