Q: woman asks people not to phone ambulance, after getting leg trapped between train and platform

.she said "please don't call an ambulance' it'll cost 3000 dollars. republicans in america must be proud. my question is this: would this level of savagery be higher or lower in china? i mean an abulance wouldn't cost as much, but if they didnt have money, would they get any treatment?

i know communism as a system, would never work, always ends in a horrendous state of affairs. but there is at least one noble sentiment behind it, that people should be equal, all have access to healthcare and good education regardless of your parents background/success in life

why did china look at the american system, think it was agood idea, when it claims to be communist or at least evolved from a system it perceived as communist. which system is more savage? or are they both equally as immoral?

http://www.theweek.co.uk/94790/woman-trapped-by-boston-subway-train-says-i-can-t-afford-an-ambulance

This is Boston that has Romneycare, Obamacare copied these northern elite snob yankees laws and had the snob professor who bragged about the lies to get it passed for our own good.

Hows that working out, they have had this great government healthcare 4 years before Obama care. Those blue states are just heaven on earth.

ambivalentmace:

Irving Texas 850 basic transport service, treatment costs 150. dollars and 15 dollars a mile.

Red states are terrible. How dare a red state not have a state income tax and be 60 percent cheaper than California and Massachusetts for an ambulance ride. This must stop, protest Texas now for being an unfair place.

Lets have medicare for all and be good socialists.

My government healthcare in California billing for a 400 meter trip in an ambulance and stuck with over half the bill out of pocket. Another socialist utopia, California.

The question is if China had the same labor cost as America, how much would the ambulance cost.

The ambulance may be cheaper in other countries but how much is your taxes to pay for it.

an average british person takes home 57.28percent of his pay after all taxes.a canadian 58.1 percent. an average american takes home 60.45. a german takes home 60.61%

as far as i know i have never heard a canadian, a brit or a german scream don't call me an ambulance.

now when you add in the average amount an american spends on healthcare that's $10,300 dollars. how much do brits pay on top, nothing it's already included.

you're being a bit misleading here. the costs of an ambulance may vary over the country. are you telling me if i try to find the price of ambulance anywhere in a red state it won't cost nearly as much? houston? atlanta.

ok if i'm in irving maybe i would get an ambulance if i have a heart attack. but if i break my legs, maybe i would arrange some alternative transport. that's just wrong.

some people may through no fault of their own may go through hard times, may still be able not to afford this. the republican attitude is totally cycnical and sinister in presuming somebody has been reckless, should be left to there own devices. if you cannot afford insurance, be damned with you, you die, you suffer.

it's strange though. the people among those who suffer most, are the uneducated, no college degree, rednecks in the southern states. they vote for trump then cry baby when they realize they are going to die

i do love america. i enjoyed my time there very much, but stories like this make me sad. if in china in 100 years we are still hearing 'please don't call me an ambulance', that would be deeply depressing. hopefully the chinese will not push aside their hummanity

ambivalentmace:

You need to consider all the taxes, not just income, Canada pays twice as much for milk and 30 to 40 percent more for fuel. America's hidden taxes are just as bad in some cases, wars are expensive. I also wonder what the European budgets would be if they spent 2 percent of gdp on military spending that they promise and never do. My wife in China always get mad at me when I'm sick and never go to the hospital and she takes my daughter if she has a sneeze. I once told her that we never go to the doctor or hospital until we try every medicine or treatment we can think of, and then when the pain is unbearable or near death, then we go to the doctor or hospital, Until I left America, I thought this was normal.

I took home 57% of my wages after taxes? Please, please prove that!

I'm British and there is no way I have ever taken home that little of my salary!

In China the ambulance driver wouldn't even bother unless you send RMB 3000 hongbao through wechat in the first place, fact.

She was delerious. And you can go to the hospital even if you can't pay in America. If she doesn't have insurance, it's her fault.

ambivalentmace:

yes, your right about that, if she got a 3000 dollar bill, as long as she sent them 10 dollars a month and never missed a monthly payment on a low income, they could not even take her to court. In China you will die on the table if somebody does not put some money a card first, paperwork for insurance or cash comes before life.
