As a mixed couple you should also look at your traditions not just your husbands. We've kept our names after marrying leaving just the confusion for what will our childrens last name be. Had we married in my home country, I would have had no problem with my wife keeping her family name.
As a mixed couple you have the freedom to do what you think suits you better.
My wife did, yes.
Only because it costs too much time, money and effort to go through the immigration process with another name, and because it costs around $500 USD to request a replacement green card.
In truth, the U.S. government did more to hinder her name changing than anything else.
