Q: Work Z Visa and Foreign Expert Certificate?

I am a USA resident. and I was issued a Z visa on my passport. Entered and Exited China no problem. I recently quit my teaching position at a Universitiy in Zhengzhou,  I only stayed 2 weeks , I was lied to what the compensation package was. I was never issued an residency permit, nor given a Exit letter, The school of course threatened me of cancelation of my visa and "black list".   I am back in the US and been offered another job, but in a different province and city of China.  Several Questions.

1).  Will there be a problem with getting another Z visa, Foreigner Expert Certificate?

2).  Do I already have this Foreigner Expert Certificate already?

 3)  What is the 4 papers that was originally given to me for me to apply for my original work Z visa here in the US.

 4)  I know the school hates me, they will never give me an "Exit" letter.

 5) Is there really a China Teachers " Black List"

Thanks you ahead of time for any help, as I want redemption and return to China.

Chances are very slim that you will have any problem.

2).  Do I already have this Foreigner Expert Certificate already?

As far as I am aware, you need a new FEC for every employer.

 3)  What is the 4 papers that was originally given to me for me to apply for my original work Z visa here in the US.

You will need to file all new paperwork.  (The schools will often help with this.)

 4)  I know the school hates me, they will never give me an "Exit" letter.

If your contract had a probationary period, it is perfectly legal for you to quit without notice.  However, they are required by law to provide you with an exit letter.  Though, depending on the company you work for next, they may be able to work around it.

 5) Is there really a China Teachers " Black List"

The "Black List" is a myth.  There is little to no communication between employers in China.  They actually hope that competitors will hire bad employees so that their businesses will be damaged.

There's little to no communication between employEEs in China! You know the fabled "if you don't like the first answer, just ask someone else"??

Given that, a 'blacklist' may only be relevant in a large UN-franchised school chain... ie, not likely! (given the way franchises operate completely differently - some being great, and others horrendous - even in the same city, blacklists won't mean much at all!)

I agree with most of the post except for No. 5.  While there is little communication between employers here directly, there is now considerable communication between all of the different FEB's.  The entire FEC process has not been centrally computerized and the file of Mr. X is available is fully electronically available to FEB Y in any given city.  If the school pushes hard enough with the local FEB, it can have the local FEB enter all kinds of nefarious things into the system and when the next employer makes application to the new FEB, all of this will automatically turn up.  Can it damage a candidate these days?  It can.  Can it cripple a candidate?  That all depends.

Can you be fined for jaywalking? Yes.

Does it happen? Nope!

You can seek help from some reliable agent in China. They are specialize in your case. But be careful, some agents are  profiteers.

Be careful of agents in China. All are profiteers -- it is the nature of their business.

There will be no trouble getting a new Z visa, in the US,

You will have to get a new Experts Certificate with the new school, and new province

They are school and address specific.

Doubtful the school back listed you,  i am working with at least 3 teachers who were fired from other universities and could not get any reference from them.

Alot will depend also on where it is, and if the school has a lot of political connections to make things happen.  the right phone call from the right person makes many things happen

Interesting.... I'm not sure I'd want to be working at a place who picks up other university's dredges... regularly!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
