Q: Work (Z) Visa still good/out of country/no employer

I currently still have my Z Visa; I was working for a bad employer. Residency permit and expert certificate was canceled.

I am out of China, my Z visa is still valid, how should I go about finding a new employer?

A: Go back to China and do it in country?

B: Go through the whole process again?

You must go through the whole Z visa process again.

Z visa is valid for one entry to China in 3 months.

After you enter China, Z visa is not valid anymore, and it's replaced with RPermit.

The Z visa stopped being "good" as soon as you stepped onto the mainland first time around and prior to applying for the residence permit. As others have said, you would have to get another Z visa with a new employee. The difficulty you are likely to face if you have a canceled RP in your passport is when you apply for another RP with a new employer, the immigration police will very likely ask for a leaving letter from the previous place of work. Without that, you may encounter serious problems.

i agree with icnif77. when you enter China with Z visa, it is only one-month valid.

Since you are out of China, if you wanna work in China again, you have to apply for the whole process again.

Since you apply for them before, it will be easier for you to apply them again in the same city. For another city in the same province or another province, it will be like you apply for very first time.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
