Not sure if it is still on the go, however Zhongshan Square, along Binjiang Dong Lu, located between the Pearl River and Sun Yet-Sen University, north gate of the south campus, did have a nightly open dance class. Very often approximately 30 or more young ladies of various age would participate. Not sure of the cost or costume though, and it looked very professional. I was also told that they had a studio.
