Q: Would you go camping in China? Which spots are recommended?

With weather being nice and finances being low, I was looking to this alternative and was wondering if anyone here had tried camping.

Anyone have any pointers as to how this works, what stores might sell the best gear, etc...

I seen people camping at one of the parks in BJ. THe Chaoyang Park I think it's called. You can set up your tent and have a little camp out there.

sort of chick flick but not bad, having a camper and hanging out at Indian casinos would not be a bad thing for a couple of months a year in retirement, along with a trip to Mexico for the dentists and medications for my old carcass.

Indian? That isn't the right term 'cause you might be speaking about Kerala or Delhi folks.

Proper name is "Native Americans" or "Indigenous Americans" as Siouxi, Pawnee, Apache, Shoshone and other indigineous American tribes, he he.

I have funny title from Ruski und EU ...

yes, sadly most people don't know or care about Columbus coming to America in 1492, the best part was I found this shirt for sale in New Mexico and on the back of the shirt is a one armed bandit (slot machine) and is says "buying back America, one quarter at a time".

I like this Edward Willson's (M. Damon) quote from 'The Good Shepherd' as reply to Joseph Palmi (Joe Pesci):

Joseph Palmi:

"Let me ask you something... we Italians, we got our families, and we got the church; the Irish, they have the homeland, Jews their tradition; even the n*ggers, they got their music. What about you people, Mr. Wilson, what do you have?"

Edward Wilson:

"The United States of America. The rest of you are just visiting."

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
