Q: Yo! What do you think of visiting BeiJing or Shanghai during the 1st week of October?

Good or bad idea? Obviously, I want to get my air ticket sorted out ASAP if I go. Thank you!

I think if you want to have a miserable time standing in lines 10people deep just to check if there is a line for the bathroom (just to find out it's the line for washing your hands) then sure, Beijing and Shanghai are great ideas....

I just moved after 6 years from  Shanghai to Beijing. I always noticed in holiday time how much easier it was to get around in Shanghai - everyone goes somewhere else. Now in Beijing I guess I will find out what it is like here in October holiday. I have a nice apartment out of the town so maybe I will just stay at home in the peace and quiet. Maybe all the Shanghai people will be here too?

I have been in Beijing for 3 years and its very quiet over that period. Rememeber, Beijing is full of migrants and they ALL head some to the small cities during this time.

Streets are dead here, and its even hard to find a cab.

To me chinese holidays are for chinese people, we dont belong there.

I think is waste of time to go any place coz buying a ticket takes at least 3 times more than usual, sometimes more.

Places are crowded and cant take good pictures, the only good about pictures is you can have lots of people in your pics and sometimes some of them are quite funny haha

Better enjoy the city where you live or places around it. Unless you dont have other chance to go these cities then go but expect evthg crowded and all the stuff we see or suffer usually multiplied.
