How to get points?

By clicking on ‘Ask’ and successfully posting a question, you will be awarded with 2 or 3 points. Questions posted in the China general section will award 2 points while those posted in city-specific categories will award 3 points. |

By responding to a question, you will be awarded with5 points. |

Voting |

For every 1 vote you receive from others for your answer, you will be awarded 1 point. |

Chance |
Double points! |
On every answer or question you post, there is a small percentage chance of getting double the amount of points! |

Logging in once a day earns you 1 point. |
What is the purpose of having points?
On the one hand, cumulating points is a way of automatically designating who is most helpful. Additionally, users may redeem their points for special prizes. Click on the “Redeem Points” link in the “My Account” box on the right hand side of the main page to see a list of the current prizes.
