How can I register?

Once you have selected a username, a password and subsequently responded to the confirmation email sent to your inbox, you will be asked to pick your own password. With those steps completed, you will be capable of asking and answering questions!

I didn’t receive confirmation email, what should I do?

After finishing the registration form, users will be led to a successful page telling them that a confirmation email will be sent to their. If that doesn’t work, the most probable cause was a problem with the email address you entered. Try to register the same account again, with a working email address. If you still can’t, make sure your email provider isn’t blocking us or dumping our email in the spam. Last but not least, send us an email to answer@echinacities.com and we will look into it.

Can I use my existing eChinacities account to login to the site?

Yes, you may use your existing account to ask and answer questions.

How to find my password back?

To retrieve your password, click on ‘Forget your username or password?’ just below the login menu. You will then be asked to submit your email address, to which will be sent your password.

How to change my password?

To change your password, first login to your existing account. Proceed by clicking on your account name, just below your profile picture. In the top menu, you can then click on ‘Edit’ and enter a new password.

To edit your profile, first login to your existing account. Proceed by either clicking on your account name, just below your profile picture, or by clicking on ‘Edit Profile’.

Can I use multiple accounts?

To prevent manipulation and exploitation of the Answers section, use of multiple user accounts is not allowed. If multiple accounts are discovered on the same IP address(es), the holder of these accounts will be contacted and asked to choose one account to keep; all others will be blocked. In the event that you are contacted for this issue, but do not use multiple accounts (i.e. public Wi-Fi, VPN), please let us know.

Can I switch to a new user account?

On a case-by-case basis, users may be allowed to switch to a new user account by sending an appeal to answer@echinacities.com explaining the reason for the new account. In most cases, users who have been frequently warned and/or received temporary bans will not be allowed to switch to a new account.

I want to delete my account, what should I do?
