Are you not Chinese? If so why would you need a visa? If you were a foreigner, the visa does not matter. You would need documentation that you are single and able to be married.

Hey, I'm a bit confused. Do you mean; "What kind of Visa does my fiancee need?"

If so, it doesn't matter. But, he will need a single certificate and you will have to go to a special government office that registers foreigner and Chinese marriages. It's a load of work, but will get done.

I remember when I got married, we were in my wife's nearest city to her houkou where we could do this. There were about three foreign and Chinese couples ahead of us. I was the only one whose parents were there. We asked specifically if they could come and watch the document signing.

After I signed, I looked over and my mother was crying. Kind of funny cause in the west the mother crying as her son takes his vows is a kind of cliche'. But, under the circumstances, a tiny office with broken air conditioning would have to do!

two things you need to know is that you need to visit your consulate and get an affadavit that will be valid for 6 months, also you need to have been in the country for at least 30 consecutive days before you can get married.

After marriage you can transfer to a family visa which will allow you 6-12 months residency, after 5 years of marriage you can upgrade to a 5-10 year residency.

You are Chinese and he is Pakistani, you don't need any visa to get married, but he will need an authenticated and notarized single certificate you need to check with the marriage bureau whether he can get it in China or whether he has to get it in Pakistan. Once you are married then you will need a spousal visa (or the Pakistani equivalent) if you want to go to Pakistan with him, if you both intend to stay in China then you need nothing but he will need a Z visa if he wants to work once his studies have finished, if he doesn't want to work then he can get a residency permit because he is married to you a Chinese national.
