Q: Any cautionary tales around working for Beijing Huijia Private School

I've been offered a job to teach at Beijing Huijia Private School. An online search reveals they weren't the most encouraging employers back in 2011. I wonder if negative employment practices still exist there, or if they're now above board. If anyone knows I would be grateful for the heads up. Thank you.

If they were bad employers in 2011, there's a pretty good chance they still are.

if you are unsure about a school, just ask some questions and see how they respond.

for example, ask for contact information of a current FT so you can talk to someone directly about their experiences.

Or ask about the work and living conditions.

a genuine place will have no problems answering.

Stiggs:

I agree, ask for other FT contact info and if they don't want to give it, there's a reason.

which province are you moving to?

you have posted previously about getting offers from several different provinces and moving large suitcases, so which is the (legit) work offer you are going for?

Ask them to speak with their current Foreign teachers on the phone, privately.

If they are withholding details from you or being vague about salary, number of teaching/working hours, benefits or teaching materials, walk away.

To let you all know, my answer was deleted by admin once I assumed that this question looks similar to what C..U did. Seems admin is helping him.

adminanswer:

Other users commented to your answer, "?????". Also while I can see what you mean and the pattern of behavior is similar in some ways, it is not exactly the same as those posters. i
