Q: Any foreigner has software developing job in China?

I am student, just started to study software engineering in China, I want to know if anybody has experience about this job in China. Any advantages, disadvantages?

Most software is just copied here in china. I'd suggest you ate up as a freelance and do jobs for western companies whilst based in china. You'd be able to undercut western based developers as your expenses here are a lot less than theirs.

 

to get started try using odesk.com, it's a place where people post jobs for freelancers, I've used it both as a freelancer and client and I've had no issues.

You will be competing with a lot of skilled local people. China is outputting staggering number of engineers each year. In terms of technical skills you will not be more attractive and if you don't speak the language you'd just be a disadvantage to any employer. 

There are lots of western run development offices in China. These needs people to bridge the communication gap between their clients in western countries with the developers in China. Cultural interpretation. You don't need an engineering degree to do that, you need understanding of Confucian thought. (and a decent amount of patience)

since you will make a degree in china you either wont find a job or wont get paid more than local people.

 

i dont even know why people still study in china, the degree is as much worth as toilet paper in everyones eyes.

Seriously my assistant here as a bachelor degree in english and cant even translate simple sentences in correct english.

my english is far from perfect but i should have a phd in english then
