Visit Wuyishan instead Fuzhou. 

 

A bit bigger than Jianou, but not tier 1 city as Fuzhou. Much cleaner too! See some images here:

Wuyi is much better travelling exit point from Fujian (by train), much closer to Jianou than Fuzhou.

    the winter just coming, so I think Guian Hot Spring (贵安温泉） may interesting to you.  it 's closly to Fuzhou City;  you can check below website for more details
