Q: Are Chinese Compulsive Photo Shooter?

I do not understand why Chinese people take pictures of of each and everything with their camera every time? Is there any Psychology behind it? OR it is their culture OR some phobia that if they will not take picture they will miss something..if some one has analyze Chinese on this behavior then please share with me..

Actually, I think modern technology has developed into such a way that everyone takes pics of everything, and it's not just limited to Chinese. During the pre-digitial age, people would be more selective with the photos they took because you could only take 24-36 pics with each roll and getting it developed would cost a lot. You wouldn't dream of taking a photo of every meal you ate unless you were developing a cook book or something. Everyone around the world is trigger happy because it's convenient and doesn't cost a lot.

I think the stereotypical Japanese tourist has their Chinese counterpart beat out in terms of being "photo happy (as a general reputation)," but as coffaholic said, going digital means you can shoot anything and everything, checking it on the spot. If the picture sucks, you can delete it right there.
