Hello guys.
hope everyone is fin and doing great.
1; My uncle want to come to china for treatment of ABNORMAL POSTURING. He don't have control over his left side of body. Does anyone know any good hospital here in china?
2; which visa does he need to come here?
Looking forward for your kind replies..
Thanks
Erh. Why does he want to come for treatment if he hasn't found a good hospital for treatment first. Wouldn't researching that be step 1 ?
In a side note. I have found the treatment for stroke to be "extremely conservative" in China, this based on a couple of cases, one a relative who got access to government VIP hospitals. As abnormal posturing has some relation to the results of strokes, I would be sub-optimistic in finding a miracle cure in China.
I hope your uncle finds a way to recovery.
i've decided to withhold my witty puns on the basis that this is a serious question about a very serious problem.
i don't think you could get help here. many locals are afflicted with abnormal posturing, as well as facesaving, boasting and classist judgmentalism.
…sorry, couldn't help it.
Thanks guys for your replies, actually last year he went to states. but there the doctors suggested him to go for Chinese treatment and now he's asking me to help him out and find a proper hospital for him. But I really don't have any idea that's why I posted my question in this forum. Anyways thanks, I'll try to find out. If I find one I will let you guys know.
First of all i hope your uncle gets better
secondly I would not recommend he come to China AT ALL for medical treatment.
Hospitals here are scams unless you go to an International hospital with a foreign doctor.
You have to pay for everything in cash and they will try to do as many unnecessary tests and procedures as they can just to get your money, and then try to sell you as many drugs as they think you will buy.
China is not known for medical competence or ethics, especially when it comes to foreigners. We are just an ATM.
You can probably find a Chinese doctor in your home country, they are certainly widely available in Europe for those who what an alternative to western medicine.
good luck
Scandinavian:
actually, you are wrong, at least a bit. For 99% you are probably right, but there are cutting edge treatments available in China, there are excellent clinics, and in terms of education of doctors, there are some universities that, by European standards, have good reputation both for training and research. It's the 99% crap that gives the 1% a bad reputation.
Do you mean Chinese Medicine or just for normal medicine? In which case the question is a little different, but honestly any advice would have to depend on what kind of Chinese Medicine your uncle wants to try.
The best idea Ihave is bring him on an S visa if you have a working visa, if not you'll need a tourist visa for him. Next You should try one of the Big hospitals and ask which one is the best in one of the 4 big Cities nearest to you: Beijing / Shanghai / Guangzhou / Shenzhen. If you have worked and saved here for awhile then you should be fine to pay for the treatment, BUT don't expect the best service, but you might get lucky who knows.
if you come to china, arrange treatment at a major city hospital with the word "army" in the name, the military gets the best doctors and pays the best salaries but this is not talked about because it would look like corruption and favoritism, i have a friend treated for bad posture at the army hospital in jinan, each treatment is 110 rmb, 3 times a week for 2 hours and is doing fine. acupuncture is involved in every other visit.
you do need a referrel to get in but that usually not hard to arrange and the doctors like to brag about treating foreigners, so entry is not as much trouble as a chinese nonmilitary civilian.
Go to a Chiropractor or orthopedics. he will need X-rays to see if there is any abnormalities of the bone structure.
