This is a stupid question. The vast majority of people in China stare at whatever is going on. If there is a chance to peep through a bathroom window, be sure someone will do so.

My thoughts exactly.

Try and find privacy in a hospital.  Even when a doctor closes the door to check something personal people will barge in or try and peer through if not quite closed properly.  It's just sad.

mArtiAn:

Yeh, i've had to talk to a doctor about piles while about five or six strangers stood there listening intently. They were getting so settled in I thought someone was going to start selling refreshments.

I once came across a guy selling telescopes in the street. His main selling point was from an example scope on a tripod and it was pointed at a random window of some flat about a quarter mile away. You could make out the design on the wallpaper.

Scandinavian:

Yes. I've been considering for a while now to get a good size telescope so I can check the neighboring buildings for pervs.

Peeping Tom's?  Just bring 'em on...open the curtains, crank up the Gypsy Lee Rose stripper music way loud and off we go...

mArtiAn:

I had a neighbour tell my wife that he saw me walking around in the nude. When she expressed surprise he said "No problem, it's ok for one guy to admire another guy in the nude." Through my living room window.

  I mean.....fucking.....what?

I agree with you here totally.  Who knows what the other guy had in mind?  Since when do normal hetero guys admire other guys in the nude?  I must be missing something here in translation.

I think they are "Peeping Tongs" not Toms in China. I believe in African countries they are "Peeping Tom Toms."

I could be wrong!

DaqingDevil:

Come to think of it - it's "Peeing Tongs"!

I saw an advert on an Chinese website that sold a camera with a 1000x zoom or something, they showed you a building far far away and then with the full zoom. Was actually pretty good. Further down the ad, they had a picture of a women in her underwear with a big forbidden sign across it, I assume it meant you are not supposed to use it for that kind of thing, but if they are suggesting it then must be some background on it!

Like others have said, you go to the hospital and people just walk in and start looking at your results and listening to your diagnosis, it's on of those things that makes me very uncomfortable at the start, now I'm used to it and return the favor!

Scandinavian:

1000x zoom is great when the pollution keeps visibility at arms length.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
