Q: Are you supposed to notify the PSB when you change phone numbers?

When my visa is close to expiring, I usually get a text message from the PSB. I assume that providing a valid contact number is important for them to get in touch with you. So, what happens when you change numbers? Is there some kind of law that says you have to notify them within 24 hours? It wouldn't surprise me!

PSB has never gotten my phone number. When we have applied for residence permits/visas my wife has handled the paperwork thus used her own phone number.

They have never done any notification about expirery though.

I have never given them my number and ,if I can help it, don't intend too. Doesn't seem to be any real justification for it.

Wouldn't worry about it.

Don't forget to leave your valid email so they can hack into your account!

Point blank: you don't need to update your phone number, it sounds like you're scared to death to live in China.

Normally we need to fill in the form with 2 phone number. They will use another phone number to contact you if the former one unavailable.
