Sign up with Google Sign up with FacebookQ: Chinese F visa for long term stay
Hi, I have some questions about Chinese Visa types. I wish to stay in China for a long time(for work hopefully), and I don't think I can get a Z visa since I don't have 2 years+ post graduation work exp. (I do have non post grad work exp of 5+ years)
So I was wondering if I could get an F visa for now. does anyone how long is the longest that I can stay with an F visa, and how hard is it to change it to Z visa once I get to China. Or is there a better solution for my situation..and is an invitation all I need for F, (from any company is ok?)
a lot of questions..lol
Thanks guys

I'm doing an F visa right now, for a semester in some Chinese University as part of an exchange program.
The longest you can stay with an F visa is 6 months, which already sucks, but also you only get one entry, apparently, to make it worse.
And if you don't have the 2 years XP thingy in the first place, I don't see how it would be easier to get a Z visa if you already have an F visa. I guess the chances are the same, but you could always try (maybe a little palm greasing?).

Hey there
Can I tag along on the question? I just completed a year long Chinese course and looking to apply for an F VISA for internship at a Chinese company. Do you think this will be possible? And also I am hearing that internship is work anything involving work whether paid or unpaid is considered work and not allowed under any type of visa except the Z VISA. Do you have any advice?

As far as I know, internships can get you an F visa.
But I'm not 100% sure, you should check an official source of information.
