canvess the foreign community that you are part of.
they will be most familiar with the english speaking options.

failing that, ask your local chinese network.

Hotwater:

Highly likely they won’t find an English speaking dentist in Zhaoqing. I had an extraction in a small city near Ningbo last year. We used phone apps to translate. Procedure was painless and I was looked after throughout (- hour from registering to leaving). Cost 150 kuai for what d was old have been minimum £150 in the UK privately. I got a recommendation from a Chinese colleague in the factory. They should do the same in Zhaoqing as you suggest.

I can't comment @Sorrel, so here's mine for +2 pints ...

Most of the medical staff in China speak English, at pharmacies, too.

During my time in China, I usually ask for directions at pharmacies.

I had an extensive dental work ( 8 or 9 implants ) done in Bijie, tiny city in 'panda-land' Guizhou and both dentists & nurse involved in surgeries spoke understandable English.

In China, dentist tells you what she/he will do next ...

It was a top-notch procedure except dentists in West use different kind of implants and new fake crowns must be imported from somewhere in order to fit on Chinese implants.

Full cost of surgeries and all was at 10 - 15% of the price in West for the same procedure.
