Q: Disappointed in Guangzhou
I visited Guangzhou in October ,stayed for three months . I attended a job fair in November and applied for teaching job but did not get through because of having an Indian passport.having done my teachers training with two years teaching experience I failed to get a job.do Indian passport holders have least chances of getting a teaching job?

If you're looking for an English teaching job then you've got no chance in Guangzhou as you're not classed as a native speaker.
You say you're a qualified teacher with two years experience. What are you qualified to teach? You might have more luck applying to the international schools in Guangzhou as a specific subject teacher.
As an Indian, you are Non-native English teacher and everywhere in the world Schools fancy Native teachers of (any) foreign language, especially in China.
You can get Working permit granted in China as Non-native teacher, but first you must find school, which will accept you and sponsor WP/Z visa.
I am Non (EU passport), working in China with all proper documents since 2010, so there is a chance for work in China as Non-native English teacher.

Let me make a disclaimer before I make the following comments. Its not my opinion, but rather what I have read and heard from other people during my decade plus of living and working in Asian nations.
The Indian accent/ dialect of English is very hard for people to understand, including teachers and students at the school. Therefore, it is quite hard for Indians to obtain English based teaching positions.
The Indian accent of English has an odd intonation in which the words sound "yodeled". This can prove to be quite difficult to understand EVEN for native speakers of English, let alone non native ones.

Yes, Indian people have lower chances of getting English Teaching jobs,and you should not be surprised for that.
By the way why you want to teach English in china so badly?

The real issue is - it's your passport that holds you back, not your accent. The stereotype of the Indian with a very Hindi accent is the norm. Thus, you don't even get a look in (interview) to determine if you have that speech pattern or not.
Now, if you can audio or video your job applications....
Maybe you can try other cities,or start your business in China..
Any advice for me? I teach Spanish and seeking work as such in Guangzhou. Thank you

See the 'Jobs' tag top R, and start sending your CV to the offers, if they exist.
Guangzhou FEB won't grant Working permit, if you aren't Native English passport holder. I am not sure, if same applies to other language job offers.

I'd guess for teaching Spanish you'd need a passport from a native Spanish speaking country and rhe Spanish equivalent of TEFL or TESOL.

I've just searched the jobs section. There are currently two full time Spanish teaching jobs. One in Guangzhou, the other in Foshan. Go and check yourself. Good luck.

Yup. Check the jobs board. Your best bet would be to concentrate on the international schools. There are quite a few in GZ. Good luck :-)
