Has anyone ever reached breaking point and smashed someone with a right hook?
Cos this place is grinding me down and i feel like sooner or later someone will push me over the edge.
Whether it is the old man who aleays smokes in the corridor, lift, etc despite me asling him so many times to please go outside.... Or the jerks who drive around totally oblivious to anyone else on the road. Or could it be one od those guys in their twenties who shouts 'Harooooooooo' at me in his girly voice...
So again I ask, have you punched anyone here?
So I'm not the only one who feels that Chinese people are becoming increasingly hostile and arrogant towards Foreigners, especially the youth.
I'm not proud that I once knocked down some local dude who were walking right behind me (literally) telling various insults out loud, nasty people. So I was walking home from a nearby mall, it's a good 10 mins walk, and those dudes were right behind me for a good 5 mins. So mid-way I got fed up and turned around to confront them about it, asking what's the matter and whether they have a problem with me, one of them almost jumped me but I managed to shove him aside in the grass, so his friend starts taking some stereotypical martial arts pose probably to impress me and throws a girly slap in my direction without even touching me, the first guy comes back and tries to grab me by my clothes and that's when I threw a direct punch in his face with all my strength, he fell into the grass, the second guy punched me in the chest but then I managed to put my left arm around his neck and to hold him like a human shield, I told him in Chinese "now you go", he said ok, I released him and he left while his friend was still rolling in the grass.
That was years ago and I haven't got into anymore troubles since then but I definitely feel less welcome nowadays than I was at the time, there is a lot more unjustified hostility towards Foreigners nowadays (which explains why so many have left or are on their way out). I guess the economic slowdown and less opportunities for young people who find themselves stuck in positions that pay peanuts while being surrounded by overpriced real estate explains the rising xenophobia. The gender gap as well, the worst part is yet to come with today's teenagers being most affected by the shortage of women. soon to be men and they will be hating Foreigners for 'stealing their women'. Finally I too would be pissed if Foreigners came to my country and made 10 times my salary for a third of the workload.
I've been in a few pushing and cursing each other scuffles but haven't unloaded on anyone thankfully.
I've wanted to.. oh have I wanted to, but I always managed to contain it and walk away, then go to the gym and take it out there.
It's the best way man, you really don't want to get in a fight in China, it won't end well, especially if someone gets hurt.
even if your in the right, they will make you pay the medical bills for the jerks you taught a lesson. i dont hesitate to punch because i have the money to buy my way out, but if your young with a low bank account, i dont recommend it.
Actually the only time it came close the guy decided to back away from the Very pissed off white Monkey .
I think i told the full story on another thread just after it happened about 3 years ago.
The one time I came very close to doing so was in Dalian. I went to the market and picked up some (obviously fake) pearls, looked at them, put them back then walked away. The woman tending the stall was determined she was going to rip me off and began to follow me becoming more and more aggressive every time I refused. She then grabbed my arm and I could feel her finger nails digging into my skin. My fist raised almost as a natural reaction and I was just about to put it in her face but pulled out because I knew what the possible consequences would be. I then unleashed my rage on her again with an extremely loud, aggressive expletive. Thankfully she got the message at that point and left me alone.
haha,,, bringing back old memories. Me and a couple of young gringos had been out on the town (zhejiang province) and it was very late, I was near three sheets to the wind, and we tried to enter a nightclub. The two bouncers started bugging my buddy about something, I think they wanted a few kuai to go in,,, anyway, they got in a shouting match, well I come from where guys don't really do shouting match much, so i punched the guy, I wasn't looking to throw a serious punch, just more like a fkg around at nite in nightclub punch, and anyway even back then I had the good sense to not escalate, so I immediately stopped, well the two of them jumped me, drug me in the elevator and the one I had punched started doing some 'Bruce lee' type shit to me,,, I thought it was pretty funny,, so I just let him. Then we were outside and there was this big ol' flight of concrete steps which I kept envisioning them throwing me down. I was saying to myself,,,, this is really gonna hurt!! well, surprise, surprise, when we got to the edge of the stairs they just released me, let me go. My respect for chinese jumped up a few notches there. they could've just as easily have tossed my ass down those concrete stairs.

I think it wont be long until some crazy local goes on a spree tryijng to take out as many foreigners as possible.
Always stay alert as someone could pull a knife at anytime. In general we have much faster reflexes than these guys so im pretty confident if someone attacks me out of the blue.
My heart beat is in vicinity of 75/115 , what makes me 'cooler than an elephant', so I would punch only to defend myself, and since I am also 'proficient' in some Martial arts (Jap) .... 'we never throw punch first' .
Warning: GRAPHIC images of violent act.

For those of you who are unaware, the East is not the West. Asians will do this at the drop of a hat. To them there is no 'Honorable way' to fight. They gang up on the victim and kill or near kill. Best you learn from this and watch your step around Asia.
Sorry, but simple truth.
icnif77:
Can't say 'I was drunk and did this to a woman'. Lowest of the low scum!
Horror pics! You should write warning about 'graphics' ....
diverdude1:
You are right. I should've put Warning.
I wish someone would round up those scum-bags and drop 'em off in a local river. Some actions are unforgiveable imo.
gunnerdj:
Wish we could lock those guya up in a room and be given just an hour to torture them...
RandomGuy:
Yep, these people have no honor and the men especially, they act like cowards and have deep rooted insecurities. That is the very reason why their women love Foreign men, it's nothing to do with the size of the D (which also is a truthful stereotype BTW), it's all to do with their men being the biggest cowards in the entire world. Don't look any further on why, according to recent surveys, Chinese women are 10 times more likely to marry outside their race than Chinese men.
Is it me or did admin delete all the answers and reset the question date? This was asked and answered a long time ago and I believe by the same account
Now diverdude is right , people make the grand mistake of thinking China is safe and Chinese aren't violent. Attacks like the one in that article happen quite often and are settled off the books or are simply ignored by the police. Most of th victims that I know of personally are young women attacked by groups of males or mixed group.
RandallFlagg:
What did the young women do to warrant such attacks from those cowards?
Stiggs:
I think I read somewhere that one of the girls said something derogatory about some Chinese ethnic group or other.
If that's true, I suppose one of more of the attackers were of that ethnic group and they probably had to 'protect their honor' and prove how 'brave and manly' they were.
"Or could it be one od those guys in their twenties who shouts 'Harooooooooo' at me in his girly voice..."
Are you sure he's not a girl? You should find out. Ask him... LOUDLY. And, if he says he's a boy, ask why he sounds like a girl....
RandallFlagg:
I once experienced the retarded harrooo from a local "man" when i was walking near my apartment. He said it with a big shit-eating grin, which quickly disappeared when i started to walk behind him shrieking harrooo and ni hao in the same effeminate voice he had used. He actually started shaking and saying solly solly so i let the wimp go and went on my merry way. Petty? Hmmm maybe. But fun too.
Stiggs:
I did that once too.
The guy was with his girlfriend or wife and two other guys and I actually heard him talking shite about me in a loud voice before he did the girly hooowwooooo at me.
I followed him yelling hoooowooooo and pointing and laughing at him. Everyone who had heard him talking about me was watching and some were laughing (at who I don't know ).
His face went from having an arrogant sneer to a brilliant shade of red, he couldn't get away from me fast enough and the people he was with walked away in the other direction.
I usually just turn the other cheek and ignore those guys, they're just so ridiculous but I suppose I felt like making a point or something that time. I sometimes wonder if I went too far but...... nah.
RandomGuy:
Haha Stiggs, it wasn't too far actually, they deserve it. I sometimes enjoy shaming them out loud in public as well.
Just the other day I was having lunch at Sukiya (so-called Japanese place, nice food though) when a group of young people sat at the table next to mine. One of them spotted me and started talking about 'the foreigner' out loud, then his friend turned around, saw me and released a loud "HALLOU" before turning back and giggling.
So i decided to have some fun, I stood up with my plate and went to sit at their table as you would when seeing people you know at a restaurant, I kept saying random shit in a mix of stereotypical Chinglish and German while eating my food and kept talking and talking so loud that everyone else in the restaurant could hear it. All three of them were overwhelmed and had no idea what to say, they turned red and were very uncomfortable I could see, one of them was even sweating despite the cold weather outside, but they couldn't leave for they had already ordered food, they were trapped at my mercy.
In the end I stood up and said "BYYYYE BYEEEE" with an effeminate voice and sending them kisses with my hand, I think the entire restaurant thought they were gay after that, which for narrow minded Chinese is much loss of face.
China is lots of fun if you don't take yourself too seriously, it's easy to make appearance/face-obsessed Chinese youth feel uncomfortable, much harder with the older folks, but they aren't nearly as cocky usually.
