Q: How to get Motorcycle License in China ?

Hello there,

I work and live in Guangzhou for 5 years. Right now, I have a valid working visa and residence permit.

Is there anyone who can help me to know the procedure, charges, or contacts to get a Chinese motorcycle driving license (2 wheels) ? A license that is valid for all the country, not just for the province it's issued in if possible.

But I don't have a license from my home country, to make things even more difficult :(

In your situation, because you're registered with police in GZ, it is nigh on impossible to go the legit way because motorbikes are illegal in GZ. If you really want one you will have to "buy" one though a shonky operator. With no valid licence from waiguoland you will pay a hefty surcharge.

Lisa organises licences in Haikou for foreigners. It costs about 12,000rmb plus a couple of days in Hainan. So I guess you could say you may get a little change out of 20k if you are lucky.

The government is getting wise to this and next year new laws will come into various cities in Guangdong (at least) saying that you need to do a test in the city in which you intend to drive to be legal. Applies to Chinese people too. So apart from the dubious legality/ethics of buying a licence there may be issues down the road. Who knows? Is it worth the chance of running foul of the authorities?

I wouldn't do it myself but if you are prepared for the possibility of trouble in the future......

why would you want to ride a motor bike in China? that seems like a good way to get killed.

Probably you can't be issued with a license as most of Guangzhou has banned motorcycles. So you need to go to an edge of city area or somewhere else in Guangdong.

A: If you received an online degree in most cases it should have been from a reputable college. If it came from a degree mill that definitely would be a problem. You should not worry about how they will contact this place. If the degree is considered authentic the people will know where to go to inquire. In my case I needed a copy of my diploma and one company in China recommended a Clearinghouse that was able to verify my degrees. They did not provide copies of the diploma, though. If the place where you received this degree is acceptable in your country then, it should be acceptable in China.Another point to consider you stated it was an MS degree. I have not aware of any programs that allow students to hop from a high school education to a Masters degree level education. With that said maybe you received a Bachelors degree. If that is the case submit that information. I would not encourage you to lie. In that you definitely will not have any paper trail to back up your story. Some companies do not accept TEFL online especially if it came from International Open Academy. That place is a one room office. I would consider that a TEFL mill.
