Q: how have chinese survived the mold for years
I live in the south... it is often warm and very humid
I cry and get out the wall mop when I see black.... wife kind of says so what, she grew up in homes with a lot blacker mold than what freaks me out. they are different than white folks? really? or did the bleach and cleaner outfits fool me?

They probably haven't been.
I'm sure people have been dying due to mold at the rate you'd expect, but it was blamed on them sleeping with the window open, or drinking cold water or not enough rest after having a baby ten years ago or something.
how do they survive crossing the road....eating tainted food and water ..basic hygiene ....and a host of other daily issues
simple Chinese bodies are different
and we all know that this is China

'ohhh, mold is dangerous, and waht not...buy this cure...' and Chinese don't have such a news. There's just mold on the kitchen walls and elsewhere. Who cares....in China?

most chinese know mold is bad and most practice hygeine to an extent so long as its in a house they own. You take shoes off in the home before entering, etc. Mold and dirty floors are usually present with people who rent apartments cause they dont have any kind of investment in the place, also they don't like doing housework. Its a combination and laziness prevails most in apartments that people are just renting... They dont respect it and see themselves moving in a year
My hometown is part of the wettest area of Europe. When I was growing up I would get mold on the walls sometimes due to the insane humidity. Thankfully the cold would retard the growth somewhat. You can get special wallpaper that has been treated with fungicides. Failing that do what I used to do, get scrubbing with disinfectant. Buying a dehumidifier eoulf help too. I have the opposite problem at the moment, my humidifier is my friend when it comes to those dry, suffocating nights.

In terms of survival of a species, whether individuals live to middle age or old age is irrelevant. They only need to survive long enough to procreate.
Consider bacteria: Like Chinese mainlanders, they have a tendency to despoil their own environment, and die in great numbers due to adverse conditions, but not before they replicate.
in the west we put a vapor barrier in the concrete walls to block this moisture, of course chinese want spend the money on this or even enough electric outlets, so the have to use paint with this emulsufier paint that always feels wet to the touch and chalky all over your hand, and impossible to clean. the only thing i can do is wait till august when it dries out very good and coat the wall with 4 coats of an oil paint to seal it good and then i can clean the wall, any other time the moisture in the concrete will take off any water paint and make it look like onion skin falling apart all over your floor, the same for ceilings also. some of them think they are smart and will glue some shitty wallpaper on the wall but the moisture after about 5 years or less will cause the paper to peel off just like the water paint on always moist wet cement.

yeah I don't get it it's not like plastic or foil sheeting for a vapor barrier is a massive expense.
Southern US is just as humid as south china and it's not like every house in alabama is rotting away from the mold.

YES, the vapor barrier we put on in the states is of course made in china.
