The set price for a furnished apartment in China, no matter the size or quality is 20,000 rupees per month.

location location location.  how can anyone possibly answer that question?  it depends where in china, and where in the city.  it also depends how you found the apartment and what type of apartment it is.

btw 20000 rupees is about 2500rmb.  try finding an apartment in shanghai for that now.  it will be.........rustic

i would say you need about 3000 upwards to get a decent place in shanghai

Wow! Judging by your incredibly vague post, I'd say stay where you are as you clearly do not have an eye for detail and China does not treat those who don't keep their eyes open well.

Hi green,
Western style apartments in Shanghai costs around 10K-150K depending the location and the space you looking for. But mostly, you can find apartments between 8K-20K in good locations. Those prices are for western styles.

It would be around 3000 Kuai for a fully furnished apartment meaning bed, sofa, desk, book shelves, chair for desks, t.v. set and entertainment set, dining table with tables, closests, fridge etc.,

The local expat-communities are a very good resource for local information. They can give you helpful suggestions and good recommendations. There is generally a web site for expats to discuss events and other things. You will be able to find a lot of positive and needed information there.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
