Depends on the experience level and qualifications of your tutor. If he or she has a degree in teaching Chinese to foreigners I think they can charge at least 50 RMB/hour. I'm sure they'd be willing to negotiate. No more than 100 RMB an hour though, unless they have tons of experience and have a master's or something.

Why ever pay anything.... it is way too easy to find someone here that is willing to tutor you in Chinese in exchange for either letting them practice English and/or intimate relationship.

never pay for chinese lessons, find a language exchange partner(Drunk. make sure she is beautiful and single (ask follow up questions weekly many girls like to lie about those things) hopefully it leads to good times.

well , seriously , if u really wanna learn sth from the tutor, beatiful, single language exchange partner doesnt help a great deal! they can just give u a good time i wonder ,find someone who would take more serious of the toturing job than you, n someone will set up the course which is suitable for you(but of course she can be beautiful n single)!

100-150 rmb here in Shanghai is reasonable pricing if he/she is really gonna teach u.
My co-worker has a tutor who comes to our office every Wednesday after work...

my university teacher charged me 100 kuai for 1 hour, 160 kuai if u take 2 hours for 1 on 1 teaching. she even wrote her own textbooks and could speak proper english.

language exchange is difficult i think. normal people cannot explain grammar and so on and u waste time teaching them ur language...

75 rmb an hour.....that's if your actually learning anything. If you think they are doing a good job and you are learning how to speak write etc., you should give your tutor a raise!

A:You can still skin into China as a non-English native teacher by holding English Teaching license in your home country.2nd: Your BA degree should be completed in a native English country. Once, you fulfilled these 'parameters', you qualify for an English teaching job in China as a non-native English sneaker with Z - Entry/Working visa with Working and Residence permit later on. See the last 'Answers Highlight' ---> there is a web link posted about 'requirements for teaching English language in China as a non-English native passport holder'. https://www.gooverseas.com/blog/guide-teaching-english-china#paragraph-item-63614-target

*English proficiency: Passport from one of seven "native speaker" countries (US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and South Africa). If you aren’t a native speaker, you’ll need to be a certified teacher in your home country with proof of your English proficiency (e.g. IELTS or TOEFL). I'd say, Chinese will choose and look especially for a native English speaker at teaching of English Literature job openings. Posted job adverts for English Literature teaching are most likely from International Schools in China. Good luck! -- icnif77
