Q: I'm looking for a Chinese language buddie

I'm learning Chinese and I'd like a buddie to help me with it, speaking(especially), writing, grammar and formalities. I'm at Jiangsu university. I can help with English if you'd like. I wrote Cambridge exams and I have an EILTS/TOEFL certificate

If you work in a univeristy it should be quite simple to find someone willing to be your language buddie without having to resort to posting online.

A simple notice on a notice board, either on campus or in a local coffee shop would elicit a local response.

This would be my first port of call in trying to find a local person to be a language partner.

You have IELTS/TOEFL Certificate, do you??? ... and you wrote Cambridge exams, too? WOOW!

Can you copy&paste one or two of your exams, please?

I want to see it. Just blank out your personal details.

You might also stop lying ... That would work, too!

Why would the poster need to prove anything?

I'm sure you know that all foreign students in China are required to have either IELTS OR TOEFL so I obviously can't lie about that

Your English writing is 'proof'  that you completed many English proficiency exams.

I just want to see both of your TOEFL and IELTS exams ... and after that, you can teach me some English and I'll get you into 'ni shi Zhongguo-ren' thingy...

Icniff, give it a rest. I don't understand why you have a mission to alienate new members with logically flawed, crimes against english. You might think you are funny playing to what you believe is a homecrowd. You're not funny or clever. Put a sock in it.

Funny or clever? Me?

No, far from that!

I am intensively working with students in Istanbul on TOEFL Exam preparation, so written BS above bothers me.

OP cannot get more than 35 points from 120 possible at TOEFL exam.

Last 5-years in China, I was preparing students for General IELTS exam. With success, I might say.

Your socks ... ready?

I suppose it must be true. Those who can pass IELTS and TEOFL, do, those who can't, teach it. I'd have thought you'd have picked up a thing or two. You didn't..lol.

I've been learning in English since preschool. I've also been examined in English at every level. Since you're so insistent on 'proof', am I correct to to assume that I'm also within my right to demand 'proof' of your Chinese proficiency too? You're being difficult for absolutely no reason at all. In fact, if you're not willing to help then leave the post alone.

Since it's just about language exchange buddies, I don't see why must show certificates. Let's show welcome to new comers. Being chill is the new sexy :D

@WangNan,

good to see you posting.

are you up for answering the kind of question that you post - please check out my (civil) question on whether you would pose as a Japanese person if your employer asked you to.

you know replying shows you are willing to engage in dialogue.

we REALLY want to understand the Chinese point of view on this.

I see it ... just because OP wrote some BS about completed exams!

In real, I am protecting Chinese buddy (Native speaker) who will give lessons in Chinese as an exchange for proper English speaker's lessons ... from a non-Native English sneaker.

So, Wang, I don't really see point of your comment.

Stop alienating ...???

Lying scumbag can stay far away from the keyboard whatever I am concerned.

I can't handle nicely lying under anon cover.
