If FB was easily available here in China, maybe this site would have less guests, but maybe not as this site is representative of what most people are actually living through at the moment in China, plus its fun sometimes

This site is for a specific community. It has a smaller fanbase, but we have a lot more to talk about.

NO!

FB has my friends, I can talk to them.

Nobody complains about China as much on FB. It's a happy place.

The main reason I come here is that I've been in China going on 8+ years and I wish there was something like this when I first arrived.  If I can share some information and help people out, well, that's my good deed for the day.  As for Facebook, it's pretty boring simply because it's a lot of people posting pictures of babies and what they had for lunch.

Thank god you weren't a on facebook as a teenager. It's just... sad..

Depends on who your friends are and what they post on FB.

Ya, even though most of us haven't met each other, it's a little easier to relate since we share a similar lifestyle (or are at least are in a similar situation).

I like my facebook friends but it's getting harder to relate, with all their reading any signs they want and going outside without being stared at.

I think it is more relevant for anyone who is in China. I have gradually lost interest in Facebook as my friends on there are not interested in China (the first year I was here they were).

Using echinacities is a great way to find out information about being here and you have people who are in the same boat and share the same problems as you.

I don't know, I never visited facebook after I signed up. Think of the time I have saved!
