http://jobs.echinacities.com/Xi'an-jobs

Look at the top R side of the page at 'Jobs'.

Make ready your CV with MA, passport, and email it away.

You should also apply in person at the Training Centers in the city.

There is no Chinese law, which require English teachers should be Native English teachers as it is in Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea....Good luck!

mostly its not about native or not (yes it also is) but if you are white you can easily get a job as english teacher. At least you dont fullfil one requirement but if you arent white and non native then you are mostly out...

It may be more difficult than if you were a native speaker, however, you have degrees in teaching so I don't see it being a problem. If you were applying in HK a masters in education would be very beneficial, with that you can probably seal the deal, no matter the colour of your skin or whether you are a native speaker or not.

Consider applying in Taiwan or HK. Mainland Chinese are much more small minded when it comes to ''face''

If you must stay on the mainland, try small cities with not many foreigners... Many of the cities in Hebei hire non native speakers. Do double check your application for spelling and grammar mistakes before emailing it though!

Good luck!

When I started teaching I was so inexperienced that the only confidence I was able to draw was from the knowledge that my English was better than that of my students, and as long as there is a demand for teachers and a lack of teachers to fill positions, I believe anything is better than nothing. Your English seems limited enough that i'd not recommend you for a position teaching university students, but I see no reason why you shouldn't help beginners get started in their education of English. Beggars can't be choosers. No offense.

Fortunately, proofreading jobs will always be there. OP's posts could save an economy or two.
