Q: Petition to Reinstate Vicky
I just discovered, after trying to research the topic "Best relationship question of 2013", that our Vicky is banned.
eChinaCities Staff: Vicky is not a detestable and worthless pain in the ass like Silva. She doesn't spam, and she doesn't ask deliberately inane questions. And from a purely practical standpoint, she doesn't drive people away from eChinaCities. Her questions are, in my opinion, one of the major attractions of this website. The huge number of responses to any given Victoria post vindicates what I am saying.
Am I alone in thinking Victoria is a valuable member of our community? I would like her reinstated.
As Evelyn Beatrice Hall (biographer of Voltaire) famously wrote:

has anybody asked Admin what the story is yet .? as I said it might just be a temp thing like I got a few months ago . I think we might have a new admin due to the new avatar so maybe they are more approachable ?

basic me and admin did not agree on the way i worded a post then i said something about standards and they took exception the i said something else that stirred the pot then i got a time out. my original post bye the way was about a Australian Woman who was helping orphaned kids in China back in September
I'd sign it ..... I just spent a couple months "in detention" for a crime I am unaware of.... possibly an accumulation of a lot of BS and inebriated frivolity ..... not sure ........ I don't think she/it ever harmed anything........ we should have her here to bash and consort with online at will.

I was surprised Vicky was banned, especially as what she had written recently was more toned down than a few months ago. I will admit to enjoying reading her posts, bad spelling and all. It made visiting this site compelling on a rainy day.
i hope she will be back soon !
Why would she be banned? That's going on the nonesense anyway. If I am not wrong she was always looking for a relation ship and she's faced quite a lot of mocking at her. Now, that's a surprise to me. I am sorry to learn she's being banned and she has to be reinstated.

as i think you are new to the site, over the past year or so she was given very sound relationship advice be the posters here, but chose to abuse the people involved.
I think Vickie shouldn't be banned. I find her to be entertaining. Silva was banned because IT should have been as IT was a multi-account user and just plain annoying.
All we know is her profile is gone. Is it possible that she deleted it herself? maybe tired of being laughed at? or maybe finally found her MR right. She doesnt need our advice anymore while shes rolling in the fields with her new flame. oh shell think of us from time to time with fond memories but keep her distance, never to return to her old hurtfull ways. Vicky is fragile, like a baby deer, better to watch at a distance. Fly away Vicky. Fly away.

Sure, maybe trivial, maybe infuriating, maybe "dumb blond" sometimes and maybe sleuthy fox at other times, but nonetheless surely her posts must have increased traffic to this site, which of itself in the IT age, is not a bad thing.

To all of you who stepped into this fray, from this sister here, thank you very much for taking up Vicky's cause.
In the short time that I have been on this board, I have watched Vicky become the favorite carpet of many of the presumed white male posters around here and it saddened me.
Sure, her posts are way over the top sometimes, but I can assure, they are so similar to some of the advice columns in Western newspapers, which advice columns are often egregiously insane but nonetheless drive advertising up, etc., etc.
Please, Vicky, I am waiting for the latest sequel to Dynasty, or to Whatever Abbey, or whatever.
And Admin, thank you from all of my little steel magnolia heart.
And a complimentary vodka martini to all the next time you come my way.

I love Vicky's post's because there is no deception in her commentary. She is real, take it or leave it. I think we all have the fundamental unalienable right to express ourselves regardless of how it makes others "feel". She has not used her freedom of self expression to cause anyone actionable harm. You don't have to read her posts if you don't want too, so let her have a forum like everyone else.

Just be yourself, don't look to others for approval or happiness. True happiness comes from within yourself.
I must admit that although Vicki does say some really stupid things at times she does brighten up this place. To mind this site has become so bland over the last few months, I assume because of new moderating guidelines, that it just isn't as much fun as it used to be. So come back Vicki, I know you probably think I have been too harsh on some of my comments to you, but you do make the place a lot more lively.
Vicky! Now that you're BACK, there should be some ground rules.
1) Be kinder to your Kind
