Q: translating English documents to Chinese ?

I need to translate some formal papers in English from Australia into Chinese and of course have them certified as a translation of the English papers. question 1 can I get this done in Australia at the consulate? . Question 2  ( plan b) where to get it done in Harbin ?

Phil: Consulates do not offer translation services normally.   An alternative would be for someone there be willing to do it during off hours.  But remember, it must be done by an approved translator for the Consulate to authenticate it.  Maybe one one better would be for the Consulate to give you name and contact information of an approved translator.  They did that for me in Washington, DC

Ask the PSB, they will have a recomended office. The PSB did this for me. No worries, its easy and not too strict.

thanks guys that gives me a good start on both way of going about it . Merry Christmas

I got tech support to email the Chinese embassy and the result was , I need to get the papers translated in Australia and certified then take them to the Embassy and they will certify that the documents are a certified translation of the English Document angry Sadly I understand this
