Providing all your forms and documents are the correct ones and filled properly, normal visa issuance time is 4 to 5 days.  But you can request (and pay extra) for an expeditre service that will give you the visa in 24 hours or less.  Sometimes if paperwork presented before 10 am, yo0u can pick passport with visa in late afternoon.  I did that in USA once

Now remember, if you by any chance overstayed your visa (since you were given 10 days to leave China), you may have a bit of difficulty getting a new one.
