Q: What is the average percentage of tax Chinese and foreigners pay?

I realize that nobody will actually pay that tax, but I am curious to know the disparity between what the local Chinese are expected to pay, and what they extract from foreigners.  Income tax, sales tax, and ??????

With income tax, Chinese get 4,000 per month free deduction, foreigners get 4800, and everything else is the same.

For SS it is supposed to be the same for all.

to my knowledge, there is no sales tax.  but some excise taxes are collected on foreign articles, no matter who gets them.

Chinese taxes are based on income. The more you make, the higher the percentage of your pay goes to taxes.  Yes I paid taxes to the Chinese government last year in excess of 200,000 RMB. They should drive me to work with all the taxes I pay them.
