Spring is just around the corner (hopefully), and I'm looking forward to hitting the park for a little RnR. I'm pretty tired of Chaoyang Park and Ditan Park though. Are there any parks in the city that are less crowded and more "park-ish" feeling?
Beijing Green is a good park behind the Olympic park good side is its free and roughly the size of Chaoyang Park.
Chaoyang park is pretty awesome.....the Olympic park is pretty dope too.
Try Temple of Heaven Park (line 5), New Summer Palace (line 4) or Tuanjiehu Park (line 10 and 6). The last one is my favorite, not too big and crowded, free entrance, nice lake with kayaks / water bikes to rent, people playing instruments and singing.
For me it has to be Yuyuantan Park - can't remember how to get there though! It's kind of near the CCTV tower on the west side of the city. Massive place, huge lake, nuff said! Oh and also the purple bamboo park is worth a trip - it's quite pretty.
