Q: why is nobody checking my job ad?

We're currently seeking for models in suzhou. In our plan we need at least one black model and one white model, but for three days only 5 candidate checked my post and one of them can come.

seems like there's a barrier between the recruiters and the candidates.

maybe what you are offering is not very good (or legal), and people don't like to be exploited

there are fewer foreign workers in China now, and if you are only offering 2,000 RMB a day (at most), that is a really bad salary to be offering.

90+% of foreigners have left China and they're not coming back, ever.

This is the new reality. I haven't been in the country since 2018 and, because my email is still floating around on some websites like this one where I put my resume, since last year I get mails every single day from recruiters in China who are desperately looking for foreign teachers.

This even though China apparently banned all for-profit training centers from what I understand.

I mean, just look at this forum, it used to have hundreds of posts per day, now it's a ghost town, same goes for other China expat forums around the internet, the laowai have gone home.

While, you can get to eChinatities from your home, too ... like me.

Been out of China since 2017 ('cause I'm a non-English native sneaker, he he), but I login to Answers daily ...

We very often have a good laugh here ... can't miss that ...

Write in search above: "Is there a lack of native English teachers in China?" to get a thread when ban on for profit education came out in China ...

Dragon2022:

I’m not sure about your percentage for those that have left China but your right about this site having gone tits up…(I had another account years ago but deleted it ). I have been here in China since 2011 but feel I’m getting close to ending my time here. I have for the most part enjoyed it but the issues that others have mentioned and the ever-growing list of blocked VPN’s, websites and App’s are making me think why bother……

A:First answer from my nucleary powered search und spell check engine: "A misdemeanor (American English, [1] spelled misdemeanour elsewhere)"   To really answer your Q, 1. one had to be convicted of the misdemeanor some years ago; 2. She/he has to apply for an English teaching job in China; and-o ... one must be a native English passport holder ... then, such poster could really answer yer Q. After looking for more facts, I read misdemeanor is a crime!https://www.forbes.com/advisor/legal/criminal-defense/what-is-a-misdemeanor/READ This!   -- icnif77
