Not much information has been made public.  It was claimed that she had business dealings with him, something related to moving money out of China into foreign accounts for a fee.  It was done a few times before, and all was OK, but this time the sum was larger, and he asked for more money than normal, and made the thread to "spill the beans" if not given what he asked for, so he got poisoned instead.  That ius what is claimed, but will have to be proven in Court.

It is certainly not the first time a high ranking official's wife felt like she was beyond the law and could literally get away with murder.  This time, unfortunately for her, she chose a foreigner and a time in her husbands career where he was being scrutinized by political opponents very closely.

A great example of how Chinese elite seem to think they are beyong the law of the world, not just their own nation. Sorry, morons, things work differently outside these walls.

Isn't she innocent until proven guilty, or is that just a "western" concept?

giadrosich:

Just as I thought, wink According to the "thumbs down," "innocent until proven guilty" must just be a western concept.

-There was some talk that Neil had connections with MI6, which explains why nobody is talking about this in the west. After all, MI6 isn't real anyway.

-That said, murder is commonplace in China, so why Bo X and wife can't cover up a simple murder is really odd. Think about how easy it is to cover up a murder of a foreigner in china

1)Food poising/Allergy

2)Traffic Accident (Throw dead body into traffic/push into traffic/arrange for hit and run)

3) Prostitute drugs you, and robs you, allergy to drug. Or hey she strangels you with tie in BDSM gone bad

4)Drug overdose. China hates drugs. Sprinkle some pixie dust around the room, and remember Nils' body was cremated with no autopsy

5)Fall from executive penthouse/suite/window. See FSB they are really good at this one.

6) Street Fight. Seriously. He leave club, with girl. Angry Chinese men get involved. Paid hit man mingles and kidney slices the guy. Nobody knows. Drunken Niel goes home and dies from internal injuries later. This is hard to do, but not impossible. You can stiletto somebody, and have them die from internal bleeding later.

-So is anybody else want to know ANOTHER WAY TO Kill a foreigner in China?

nevermind:

He was a securities professional, he made a living looking into Chinese businesses for potential investors, so he likely did have MI6 experience at some point, most of those guys do.

If Wang Lijun had not fled to the US embassy to spill the beans and avoid Bo Xilia's wrath this would have all remained swept under the rug...regardless of who in power knew the truth.

It's only because of this that the CCP had no choice but to deal with it under the illusion of transparency because they couldn't contain it anymore.
