"You should first make my last School in Guizhou pay return flight reimbursement as per completed contract in June 2017, and only after that is accomplished, I will be able to review your new Contract offer!"
Since that hasn't been fulfilled ...,
" ... you can learn English by yourself in foreseeable future whatever I am concerned!
Now, fok off, China ...!"
I will be asking for double the normal raise at my school, but not for that reason.

I have taken more responsibility this past year, and I think I should be compensated for it. Also, with the world economic issues that we will face this coming year, I need to recover those losses. Inflation, rising exchange rates, and higher living expenses. I have done a lot of free things for the school over the past few years, such as direct an annual play, that I now feel I can be paid for. At first, it was an experiment. It is now something that is worthwhile and expected. I reality, it has never been about the money for me. I get paid more than enough money with my current salary. I just do not want to be taken advantage of. When I see other teachers getting paid for their extra efforts, and I do not get paid, it is time to shift expectations.
You can, by the law of supply and demand. But your also gonna have to compare with other foreign teachers, are they raising it altogether.
Also bear in mind that busienss are being hit badly, also tight in cash, so a high raise maybe not a good idea unless you can add tremendous values. You wanna win-win, not win-loose.
I'm not from the teaching field, but guess no difference how it works. Just saying.

If some schools are desperate for teachers, they should pay more. If they don’t pay they should continue their business without teachers if they can.
I just wish someone would question the wisdom of Ageism. One discrimination that gets little attention.... But it is coming to us all,,, (provided u continue the habit known as..... Breathing)

Oh yes real problem. We're like the packaged foods in the freezer. Expiring soon? Put it on sales!
Guess it's less obvious in the professional fields, old goats are golds.

It looks similar to that Pegasus accidental landing ...

My salary rises yearly. I'm satisfied with the amount so I'll let the company decide what this years raise is
The ban won't last forever....maybe a few months. After that flood gates will open and it will business as us usually. They will be hiring black and brown and non native English speaker and people with no degrees to
save money.
