A:Getting my second dose of Moderna in a couple weeks. This is perhaps the only benefit of being in the US now. Then I can go to one of the countries that allows vaccinated tourists. IMO, worth the wait. @Nasboroguy: The Chinese government has already admitted that their two vaccines are not as effective as they initially said. No big surprise. Now they are talking about mixing Sinopharm/Sinovac with Astrazeneca. Covid may be (barely) contained in China, but as long as the billions of people there haven't received an effective vaccine, the entire country will be at risk of continuous outbreaks such as Thailand is dealing with now. If you have access to an effective vaccine (there are a few including Pfizer, Moderna, and even Sputnik V) then I would just get it. Sure, the effectiveness will wane after a year or two, but that's what booster shots are for. Although I don't understand why people wouldn't want to get a vaccine, I respect their decision not to get it. As for myself, I feel as if a tremendous burden has been lifted and I can soon walk into a bar for a pint (just not in the US, haha). -- Quinn68
