China have announced that they will start doing this from January 1st 2013.
Will they only target specific countries, and will the international community allow this?
Is it only a matter of time before China believes they can target all countries?
Will this have repercussions for foreigners in China, just as the Senkakus did for Japanese?

A rather serous turn of events, to say the least. Let's hope that diplomacy and rational thinking prevails on all levels.
Look for the American take as reported by the Chicago Tribune:
http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-11-30/news/sns-rt-china-seas-wra...
It's the world's busiest sea way. I can't imagine that this is something that the international community would just ignore.
It cant be happen..China released such type of news so that they bargain more and more during diplomacy talk...Traveler can you send me the link of this news..?
Traveler:
Link provided in 981's comment:
China's stance on negotiation or bargaining is that it will not negotiate or bargain, on anything, unless the other side accepts China's position completely before the negotiation or bargaining starts.
Then it's time to take them down. Every nation that respects freedom and democracy should just shut down trade.
The short answer is a war would be imminent. The long answer is that it could snowball into WWWIII if Russia, Japan, or the U.S. are involved. Hopefully cooler heads prevail.
