Q: Did you experienced Chinese dentists?

Yesterday i went to the hospital to get a filling. The Dentist (i think he qualified in animals) He we bashing on my teeth to see where i have pain (after i told the idiot i have no pain). Got up, almost assaulted him and left.
This morning i went to a "Teeth Hospital" (Wife said) and got the best service, 2 girls were working on me, patiently and did a great job for only 160 rmb,

I had to get a tooth pulled out and the Dentist was good, he cleaned my teeth as well and I was happy with the way he did it, I can't remember the cost now but I think the clean was 30 rmb and the tooth x-ray and pull was about 30 or 40 rmb, sadly he is no longer here

I had a great dentist in Dalian.  She had an American & Chinese license, she spoke good English and her prices were reasonable.  And her service was as good as any American dentist.

I have had great luck with restorative dental surgery here in China, although most of the time, I have used the dental labs of the major hospitals.  Two weeks ago I went to a local dentist and he was thorough, diligent, careful and did an all round excellent job.

I had great service as well in Shenyang. I visit a dentist in clinic in one of the hospitals that my partner uses with very good results. I had veneers placed on all my lower teeth and from memory it cost around 2,000  RMB. This type of work would cost maybe $5,000 in Australia. 3 visits the 1st they grind down the lower teeth, take an impression and quickly make some temporary veneers and fit them. 3 days later the new veneers are ready and they fit them to your teeth and do some slight grinding so you bite is OK. 1 last follow up for some slight touch ups a week later. They look and feel like the real thing and i am very impressed that I had this done after never considering/knowing about this procedure until I came to China.

I had a satisfactory experience in Harbin a few years ago. An old hockey injury left me with my two front teeth chipped. Not anymore as they have been capped and I have no problems at all. In Daqing, I just went for a cleaning and consultation in the hospital. Another professional job in my opinion.

I found a realy great dentist in Nanning. I needed an old bridge replaced and was quoted £2,000 in England by the dentist who did the original work. I told him that was too much and waited until I got back to China. Very nice lady dentist who took time and was very gentle and very thorough. She told me the bridge she fitted came originally from England anyway, I don't know whether that was true but I have had no problems at all. Cost 3,000 yuan, so the money I saved paid for two return air tickets and I still had some left over.

My uncle pioneered the root canal His assistant who is now is a partner at some place I cannot recall, was a complete idiot who completely messed up some series dental surgery I had done not electively but for my health mind you it would of cost over 2000 dollars or more even with my insurance. dentist can suck anywhere so if they are as cheap as you say they are there then I am buying an airplane ticket to china.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
