Q: another visa related technical question
I am in China on S visa based residence permit which is going to expire in October this year. I am planning to go to my own country in August. As stated thousands of times that you have to go back to apply for a Z visa, my question is that if I go to my country to apply for Z visa and in case it is rejected, can I come back on my previous residence permit / S visa?
Because in some countries when you apply for a new visa all previous permits and visas become null and void.
Any info?

First Option: It will be not rejected. Why? When you apply for any Visa, there is a document checklist. So if your document will be not complete, then your application will be not accepted, it means there is no chance of rejection. Because to get reject-you need to be accepted first.
Second Option: Your visa will be rejected: The only option of getting rejection is that you provide false document or information in the via application form and later they find it fake document or false information.

let's suppose the info was false fake whatever, i got rejected. Now can I come back to China on my previous residence permit / S visa?

Ok, in the worst case you provided wrong information or fake document, then yes, they will forfeit your existing visa..
You are here as a family member and you want to get a work visa. Is there an employer authorized to hire foreign employees sponsoring your application? If not it is not likely you will get a Z visa.

And one of the problems is that I can't understand the requirements. the requirements are different in different places.. I can't understand the alien employment permit etc..

Their problem, not yours.
On your part, what you need in order to get the Z visa is the "letter of invitation" and the "Employement authorization", you can find pictures of those all over the Internet to give you an idea. Usually in order to get those, you should provide your employer with random stuff proving your academic record/experience, acording to your country of origin (usually, degree certificate and letters from previous employer).
For more information, just browse the official website of the consulate/embassy of your country, and see what paper they require.
Should your application be rejected for any unlikely benine reason such as a problem in paperwork, your existing visa/RP will not be affected. Actually, it is hardly possible to be denied an application for a Z visa. Embassies or consulates will not accept incomplete or inconsistent applications with papers missing, therefore, should a fail occur, it will more likely be when your potential employer applies for your letter of invitation or your authorization of employement. Which mean it does not affect you anyway.
Of course, in the case of forged documents, you might obviously be facing more trouble.
