Q: Anyone know any chat-sites worth going on to practise Chinese?
Yeh, I want to find a chat-line, maybe one favoured by foreign students of Chinese, but basically an open site where I can read and join in the conversation. Know any?

If you have QQ, why don't you check all of the QQ Groups that are available. They come in all flavors, both foreign and domestic. There just indeed might be one for foreigners studying Chinese. Have a look.

老实说，看你写的中文真的是挺不错的，不知道你的口语水平怎样，所以不方便评论，在我看来，应该也不错的。你听仗母娘（老婆的妈妈）说话有点吃力，通常来讲，大多数的老人家说得中文都不太流利的，如果加上一些方言，更难呢。就如我的爸妈一样，他们讲中文一般般，一些简单的老公才能听得懂，有时我不在身旁当翻译的话，老公就给手机和相机上搞笑的图片给他们看呢，大家乐着呢呵呵.....

现在我的老婆不再家,所以我没有她帮助我,肯定会写很多错误.不重要,我不怕错.看你写的中文还有几个我看不懂的单词.我只学了几年的汉子,肯定说比听好.我的汉语水平跟五六岁的一个小孩差不多一样.

犯错不重要，最重要的是要知错就改。 如果你有看不懂的单词，你可以问我，乐意解答。 对了，我帮你改正一个错误吧，是汉字。不是汉子，汉子意思是男人。比如他是一条汉子。希望你下次记住哦，一个比较大的错误，就如我以前SOUP 和 SOAP，经常弄错呵呵。 你现在的中文口语水平能达到一个五六岁小孩的水平那是很不错了，信不信？我老公现在的中文口语水平应该最多二-三岁小孩的水平呢呵呵，不过人家来中国还不到二年呢。

谢谢你的帮助Maggie,一个错误是很好的一个老师.我以前去了一个饭店吃晚饭但那时候我一点汉字都不能读, 我看菜单照片看到他们有酸甜排骨,我的发音那时候也很不好,所以服务员来问我想吃什么的时候我对她说说"我想吃酸甜屁股." 她们都笑我了.从此以后我不能忘记怎么说酸甜排骨.

Haha, you know, Maggie, every conversation I have in Chinese is the same: at first people keep their language quite simple and I am able to understand, then they get more and more complicated, until I am stuck. Haha, now I am stuck. Your message above had a number of characters I could not read. I had to ask my wife to read it for me.

You can also try italki.com. That site is good for anyone practicing any language.
My Chinese is bad. I really need help. thanks for these websites. I get email every day from www.chinese-course.com. I've been using it until I can find someone patient enough to teach me.
