Q: Are the answers and questions monitored by the government on eChina cities?
You hear about sites like Renren and kaixing wang (China's Facebook and Twitter) where people's comments are removed or in worse cases, taken in for posting them and being interigated for making certain comments regarding the government.
Does the same apply to this site? Is it also monitored? Do we need to be careful with what we say?
I doubt that this site is exempt
we have a healthy population of wu mao here as you have most likely worked out
There are things that we just don't talk about such as some places that start with T

Yes agreed, I guess this site isn't as old. But has there ever been a case where comments are removed ? Or has anyone had warnings sent or even account terminated ? Definitely need to think twice about what's said online sometimes. I mean we're so use to casually talking about anything without consequences
Anyone visiting china should know better than to not talk about there government.

Are you planning on writing something that could be questionable? Of course certain things are deleted, if the cat thinks it's inappropriate. This is not a free-for-all type forum, there are rules.

Oh no, definitely not. I have no plans to make a whirl wind remark. I know of the restricts in chinese media. Just curious if there's been anyone here on this forum. I mean we can all vent here on eChina, but what would they consider too far? And has anyone here crossed the line.
