Q: Are Mac products reliable/expensive here?

I don't go home for another 3 months and I'm planning to buy a Mac. Is the stuff sold in the stores here generally reliable? No recent quality scandals?

As far as the price, I imagine it's pretty much the same everywhere.

I thought you were asking about Macdonalds, the stuff is fake here, absolutely no beef in hamburger, but I don't know what it is. What kind of meat is gray?
Mac computer probably made here, same computer as home, just like iphone. iphone cheaper in Hong Kong, maybe computer also.

You will pay about 20% more here for any Apple product...assuming you can find the real deal.  You are better off waiting unless you are close to Hong Kong.

Go to HK and buy... or choose taobao.. I have done both..

HK price is lower than in china.. just check the two countries applestore website .. convert HKT to CNY and see the difference..

Buying in taobao is bit risky.. but i am happy.. choose good shops selling thousands per month .. they are original... can chose not opened box.. and you can activiate online (its proof that its not fake).. Taobao is cheaper than mainland china as the goods are smuggled from HK..

Hong Kong. buy from the Real Apple Store on Central. Easy to get to and in a good Tourist part of town too....   ride the Star Ferry over from TST.

If at all possible buy from here, not anywhere else.... it'll save u a bit of money too,,, but Mac stuff is a long way from cheap...

A:I had a similar experience in HK. If I recall correctly, before or at the Z visa application, I had to submit ME from the ordinary HK clinic, where I explained why I need ME and I asked them to examine only necessary things (I don't remember the cost ...), and then ... I got Z stamp and when back in China, I had to complete another RP ME, which was on the employer, i.e. included in the Contract ...We've never discussed refund of payment for HK ME with my employer. Year 2013 ...I'd say, that is a regular thingy embassies around the world require, before issuing visas for LT stay in the country. "Vladimir Vladimiro-Witch ras-Putin" (LOL@your pronunciation ..) demands the same thingy before granting LT stay in Ruski.  ... Haa, 2013 was the Snowden's year. I was in Kowloon at the time of his landing .. with all these files ... I'm-Still-in-LMAO-State ... Cost for the ME in HK was around HK$ 2000/200 EUR, and ME was kind of swift, quicker and way shorter than on the mainland ... -- icnif77
